FILLED OF THINGS THAT WERE DONE IN FIRST 100 DAYS IN DENMARK (DAY 56)

DAY 56 – July 13, 2009

We went to BAKKEN Amusement Park. Dyrehavsbakken ("The Deer Park Hill"), commonly referred to as Bakken ("The Hill"), is the world's oldest operating amusement park - with a tradition stretching back 425 years. It is located in Klampenborg (Gentofte municipality). But we took the short way from our place. We took our bikes, (yes, I rode a bike going there!) We went through the woods and saw couple of deer. It is nice to go to the woods, very relaxing and refreshing.

It is open daily from the end of March through the end of August. Entrance into the park area is free, but rides and attractions require money. Price depends on the ride or attraction. Discounted coupons, wristbands, and season passes can also be purchased.

The park is packed with rides of all kinds - some fast and furious, turning the world upside-down, and others more sedate - ideal for our youngest visitors.

You can test your skills in more than 30 different entertaining games and competitions.

It has around 40 restaurants and bars and suits all tastes and any budget. Sit down and relax in an a la carte restaurant or simply grab a quick hamburger or hotdog - or perhaps a giant ice cream.

Welcome to BAKKEN!
