YEAR-END SPECIAL

For the past 4 years, nakaugalian ko ng mg-out of town tuwing matatapos ang taon. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, I've been to Vigan, Mindoro and most of the time sa Prayer mountain in Antipolo. Now that the year is ending, I'm going to Amsterdam. And as always, I have this sad feeling. Why? I really dont know. I should be happy and I will be hence it's my choice.

Masaya, malungkot at disppointed.

Ibigay lahat sa Kanya at sabhin na lng “Thy will be done”.

My prayer will be: May I found peace, happiness and contentment and May I live according to His will (Masyado ng matigas ang ulo ko baka wala ng next time)

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Dec. 17, 2009 -- 8 Days before Christmas

As I woke up this morning, I can’t believe what I saw. All white! Pure white! The beautiful sight was appreciated as the sun rises at 8am. But snow also brings annoyance in some people because the need to plow their way in the cold morning to get outside and that’s what Frederick did. He has no choice otherwise he will wait the city hall plow’s truck to get rid all the snow.

All white and pure

Frederick, taking rid of snow in the cars..

The snow was one foot high so it was so nice to dip in and let the feet and hands feel the snow. At 10:30am, Marius and I went outside to play but we didn’t take long because it was really cold and I can’t bear it. As of now, it is really cold, it’s -4 degrees! I am still amazed by the wonders of nature. The difference between m country and here. All I can say is: I am amazed by the Your works of Your hands…

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Dec. 15, 2009 -- 10 Days before Christmas

Three things happened this day:

Wish you all the best! And may God grant the desire of your heart!

2. Let it snow..let it snow..let it snow! – This is not my first time, pero ito ata un pinakamatagal at pinakamatagal. Fulfilling and happy. This was my dream before, to experience snow. Ang masasabi ko lang more! More! More! Hehehehe
3. Christmas Party in school – Nakakaloka! Hindi ko alam kung ano dadalin ko. Hindi ako makapagluto (as if naman na nagluluto ako) Kaya, instant! Microwave hot wings! Pacencya na..hehehhe..On my way to school, nagssnow pa din. Ang sarap na feeling para akong nas pelikula or kinukunan ng music video naglalakad under the snow!

Infairness, masarap ang food. May CPA (ngyon ko lng nalaman to, chicken, pork adobo) bistek, spring roll, fruits, cheesecake at ang pinagmamalaki kong hot wings! Another year for school. Though hindi formal school. I appreciate what I’ve learned.

Christmas in Denmark
Denmark has adopted and expanded the German tradition of Advent calendars. It is common to have Julekalender (Christmas calendars) that mark all days from December 1 until December 24. They are often made of cardboard with pictures or treats such as chocolate. They come in various forms whether home-made to or manufactured and can contain innocent stories of Christmas or might even be scratchcards. Also, Advent candle with numbers from 1-25 and they have to light it everyday according to numbers.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Dec. 14, 2009 -- 11 Days before Christmas

I watched Schindler’s List and until now, scenes and the story still linger on my mind. I can’t imagine the Holocaust that happened. More than 11 million Jews died. Why? Because the are Jews, they are merely Jews. This was happened during the World War II under Adolf Hitler. It was a barbaric way of killing people and the reason is none sense. I was thinking, why God allowed these things to happened, not only to the Jew but to the other Christian. Why there’s someone to suffer to glorify His name? Why things need to happen just to see the goodness of His works? Well, human cant fathom the depth of His love. It boils down to the principles: Everything has purpose and He has his own way of telling things. But whatever it is, I still believe that Jews are the chosen people of God and I still have respect to them.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Dec. 13, 2009 -- 12 Days before Christmas

The countdown begins! Surely we can’t stop the Christmas. It’s really coming!

At last! I feel the Christmas is really coming!

Gifts for my friends..

As I was walking on my way home, I thought it’s raining then suddenly I realized it is snow! Ice cream??) But this is not my first snow. I experience it last November but this is the first time that I am outside and walking.

Melting snow in my hand

This is my first time to celebrate Christmas and I learned some of their traditions. I will share it every post here.

Jul, the Danish Christmas, is celebrated throughout December starting either at the beginning of Advent or on December 1 with a variety of traditions. Christmas Eve, Juleaften,, the main event of Christmas, is celebrated on December 24.Every September until Christmas, Carlsbergis releasing a Juleøl as a sign that Christmas season is coming.

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN December 1, 2009

Merry Christmas! First day of December and Christmas is in the air. It will be my first Christmas outside the country and first time to experience White Christmas. How white? Still I don’t know yet but excited! Celebrating Christmas holiday here in not really a big deal unlike the Philippines and I really don’t feel the fest except its freezing and soon after snow is coming! Here’s the list of things that I will miss in Paskong Pinoy:

Nothing beats Divisoria! Ang saya pumunta ng Divisoria, budgeted man ang pera mo or shopping galore. Iba’t ibang klase, mga laruan, damit, pangregalo or pangasariling kapakanan.

Western style --- turkey, salad, tacos and wine. Sosyal di ba?? Ano kaya ngayon?

Peace! That’s the Spirit of Christmas…:)

8. True spirit of Christmas --- Christmas is not just a celebration. One Man gave His life so now give whatever you can. Pay it forward!
