Ghost-hunting!

Last, September 19, 2009, I took time out away from my computer and witnessed one of the cultural events that are happening around Gentofte Community. There’s a series and simultaneous events around the community. One of these is Light dance in Bernstorff Slot. The theme was “ghost hunting”. We are able to see the house of Kings and Queens inside. This is not open to the public everyday. Inside, some children dressed on their spookiest costume, they will scare people, then, the main event the Light dance. It is like a Halloween event but it is not. It is just an annual event, their cultural event.

Again, I witnessed the culture that they have here in Denmark. They value their roots and recognize their past and move on to their future.

Light Dance Event

Lahat tayo ay may multong kinakatakutan. Sa ating nakaraan o kahit minsa sa hinaharap. Minsa hindi sino kundi ano. Hinahabol tayo ng nakaraan. Tao na hindi makalimutan at kahit ibaon mo pa sa limot. Pilit na bumbangon pa ito sa hukay. Pangyayari na kahit na anong gawin mong pagtalikod, pilit na pinamumukha pa din sa iyo ang mga nangyari. Minsan takot tayo sa kinabuksan. Ano mangyayari? San tayo dadalin? Anong naghihintay na kapalaran. We are drag by our own ghost. Gaya nga ng palabas . Sayawan na lang natin ang mga multo na iyan. We have to admit that these ghosts will remain here forever. And even we are hunted by the past and taunted by the future. Dance with them…and soon you will learn it step by step.
